About Us

A tradition in find hardwood milling, lumber, and plywood alive and well in Leander Texas.

Founded in 1988 by the Luersen family, our wood moulding company has proudly served builders, designers, and craftsmen with quality, consistency, and craftsmanship at the heart of every product. What began as a family-owned operation has remained true to its roots, with an enduring commitment to excellence that continues today under the leadership of Joe Adame.

Joe joined the company in 1990 and quickly became a trusted supervisor, earning the respect of the Luersens and becoming part of their extended family. When the Luersens retired, they offered Joe the opportunity to take the helm, a decision rooted in mutual respect, trust, and admiration. Joe, who came to the U.S. from Mexico not speaking a word of English, embraced the challenge and purchased the company, fulfilling a personal vision and a true American Dream.

Today, Joe leads the business with the same values he’s always lived by: hard work, dedication, and a commitment to top-tier quality. The moulding we produce reflects those standards—carefully crafted, precisely cut, and delivered with pride. Supported by both his own family and the Luersens, Joe has grown the company into a trusted name in custom wood moulding.

When you work with us, you may come across some familiar faces from the Adame family, Lily Adame keeps everything in the office running smoothly, and John Adame does the knives and moulder (and will eventually take over for Joe managing all work in the shop).

We take great pride not only in our products, but in the relationships we build with our customers, and we look forward to working with you on your next project.

Types of Wood We Offer

  • A moderately soft hardwood with a fine, uniform texture, Poplar finishes well with paint or stain, though it may blotch, and is ideal for hidden or painted applications.

  • A hard, durable wood with prominent open grain and a warm reddish hue that stains well, giving a classic, traditional look.

  • Harder and more moisture-resistant than Red Oak, White Oak has a straighter grain and rich, golden-brown tones that finish beautifully with stain or oil.

  • Slightly softer than Hard Maple, Soft Maple has a smooth grain and takes stain more evenly, often mimicking cherry or other hardwoods when finished.

  • A very hard, dense wood with a fine, consistent grain that can be challenging to stain but achieves a sleek, contemporary look when finished clear or with a light tone.

  • A softwood with a rustic charm, featuring frequent knots and a pale yellow tone that takes stain unevenly but creates a warm, country-style finish.

  • One of the hardest domestic hardwoods, Hickory has dramatic color variation and grain that produces a bold, rustic look when stained or finished naturally.

  • A moderately hard wood known for its smooth grain and rich reddish-brown patina that deepens beautifully over time with exposure to light and air.

  • A hard, strong wood with a dark chocolate brown heartwood and straight to wavy grain, Walnut finishes elegantly with oil or clear coats to enhance its luxurious appearance.

  • A moderately hard tropical hardwood with a straight, fine grain and deep reddish-brown color that polishes to a rich, glowing finish.
